Yogita Gupta is an intuitive abstract painter who lives in Maharashtra. She states, “My art is a colorful web where solid shapes and varied lines interact to keep the viewer in a playful atmosphere of exploration and imagination.”
As a child growing up in Maharashtra, Yogita displayed signs of innate artistic talent in painting. Her mother enrolled her in art classes and at the age of 4, her art was selected for exhibitions and awards. The continued support she received from her family cemented Yogita’s confidence and desire to explore her creativity which has expanded and evolved.
Yogita also completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry. Currently, she combines her love for creating art with education and explains, “Using art in my teaching practice is a powerful resource that helps students process the world around them in a collaborative and exciting way.”
At the age of 4, Yogita started drawing. She has been teaching drawing and painting to students appearing for school and college students as well as hobby artists. It is this belief and approach to painting that makes Yogita stand out. She has been a popular art teacher as she enjoys working with children and kindling the creative instincts in them.
An avid painter, Yogita likes to explore themes and subjects in a special way so as to bring to life the essence and ethos of her subjects, which have been very diverse as can be seen from her portfolio. She uses all kinds of artwork on canvas or paper including freehand drawing and sketching, watercolor, acrylic, oil painting, charcoal art, color pencils, clay art, murals, sculpture to name a few.
Her theme of the artwork is based on an innocent child showing love towards others, they don’t see gender difference or skin color, materialistic status. They just love all for what they are and accept everyone in their life. It's beyond all worldly desire. Yogita takes 6 hours to draw canvas paintings depending on the size and theme.
She has taken offline and online art classes for the last few years from age group 5 to adults. I have got a Facebook page “Art an Expression” where I share all my student's artworks.
She has officiated her talent since her childhood, displaying her beautiful creations through Instagram page @yogita_art_zone and Facebook page: “Art an Expression”.
An artist gets inspired by his/her surroundings as well as life experiences. Yogita gets her inspiration mostly from her family members. Her artworks have been a mirror of her creativity and yet inspire the young artists to resemble her skill to grow in the field of art.
